Packaged Food Incubator & Accelerator

Fulton Commons provides early-stage food businesses with a cohesive, instructional-based program which helps businesses successfully launch and scale a packaged food brand.
The curriculum will feature guest speakers and experts in all related fields, including leaders in our local food system in Pittsburgh.
Upon completion of the programming, entrepreneurs will be positioned to sell their products in retail outlets, grocery stores, farmers markets, and online platforms. The coursework will be structured in a cohort format, creating additional opportunities to network with other business owners and like-minded individuals in the industry.

Incubator Program

(6 sessions – beginning in June 2023)
$195

The incubator program is geared for new business owners and individuals who have an initial concept for a packaged food product.
Subjects will focus on creating a mission and vision statement, market analysis for products, life and goal planning, and business plan development. This program will also include basic overviews of topics which will be expanded upon during the accelerator program.

Accelerator Program

(12 sessions – beginning in Fall 2023)
$395

The accelerator program is ideal for businesses which have an established, viable product and are ready to scale.
This coursework will feature an in depth review of key subjects including financing, marketing, accounting, ingredient sourcing, product formulation, cost analysis, shelf life testing, food safety, regulatory requirements, labeling, distribution tactics, and retail partnerships.
